And it is all your fault Oppo. All you posted the S2000 on my WWYBW post earlier today and then I just could’t stop looking at the S2000. Why is it so amazing?

I had an AP1 for about a year. I loved it to death, but it has it’s issues. Weather sealing isn’t fantastic, using 91 is annoying when gas prices are high. The rear suspension is a tad twitchy at the limit. I would have kept mine forever if It didn’t get hit.

I am surprised the weather sealing was bad. I figured with Honda quality it would be good. Also a little twitchy at the limit just adds to the fun factor!

It certainly made my day much less productive

It’s unpredictably twitchy is the issue. I spun in places I shouldn’t have because of sudden oversteer. Most AP1's have seen water in the trunk.

No misery here but my ap2 is at the shop for an alignment

Really? I was unaware of the water issue. And I knew the car was twitchy but not that twitchy

Why the AP2 over an AP1?

Preferred the look (lame, I know). I plan on getting an ap1 flywheel though.

So have I! My local Honda dealer has a sweet AP2 for $12k and it's super clean... Might have to stop by tomorrow.

Snap oversteer. I would totally buy one, but maybe do some suspension work

Can confirm trunk water leaks. The oversteer twitchiness thing is a debate among AP1 owners. The S is the only balanced or RWD car I’ve had any appreciable seat time in, but I have always found it like a cat dancing on its claws when you push beyond casual street driving. If you’re aware of the car’s tendencies and steer from the rear of the car, I don’t find it a problem. That said, I don’t get too close to the limits on the road, and I haven’t gotten to autocross or track yet. May 8 baby!!

Check out the Everyday Driver GT86/RX-8/S2000 comparo, and the savagegeese S2000 video, on YouTube. Those were most influential for me seriously going after the S2000.

The UK car still got a 9k redline with the AP2? Unfair!
